Role:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Network Engineer Contractor to join a dynamic project team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, implementing, and managing network solutions to ensure robust and secure connectivity for clients.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Configure and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and applications. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance. Architect and manage GCP Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments. Deploy and manage Dedicated and Partner Interconnect circuits, Cloud VPN tunnels, and BGP routing configurations. Design and operate GCP load balancing solutions. Configure and manage Cloud NAT gateways. Design and enforce hierarchical firewall policies and VPC firewall rules. Implement VPC Service Controls and manage SSL certificates. Author, maintain, and version-control Terraform modules for all network components. Develop Python scripts and Cloud Functions to automate network provisioning and compliance checks. Configure and manage Cloud DNS and implement DNS peering for hybrid environments.

Requirements:

Proven experience in designing and implementing network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of network hardware configuration and maintenance. Experience with network security measures and troubleshooting. Familiarity with GCP Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments and related technologies. Proficiency in using Terraform for network component management. Ability to develop automation scripts using Python. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in network engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for network governance. Knowledge of Cloud DNS management and DNS peering.
