- We are looking to hire an Automation Engineer to assist the Engineering team.
The perfect candidate will have experience working on large-scale automation systems and is comfortable writing code from scratch. The Automation Engineer will have responsibility for daily troubleshooting of automation devices such as point level sensors, operator interfaces, networking, burner controllers, conveyors and variable frequency drives. There are multiple projects that the Automation Engineer will be responsible for, such as executing controls upgrades for Coffee Roasters, rewriting the Coffee Transport system and commissioning retrofits to additions to the Transport system. The Automation Engineer will be overseen by two senior level engineers. All new programming at our company is being updated to simplify machine control, reduce operator related errors by standardizing HMI development to ISA-101, incorporate modular programming practices, and integrate with an ERP system, Plex. We uses Rockwell Automation for most automation related equipment, and Ignition Perspective for operator interfaces. Requirements
- Experience building and designing electrical control panels Experience programming industrial control systems and operator interfaces Self-motivated, works well independently or as part of a team, and expresses genuine curiosity in their role.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Must be comfortable working in a production environment, supporting system uptime, and troubleshooting. Possibility of working late and working weekends. Personnel will be required to learn the intricacies of our coffee process before they are able to start on projects. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or like field. Must have 3-5 years of industry experience. Tools to be Used
