Hybrid We are seeking an Associate to support and drive automation initiatives within our Wealth Management Operations division. In this role, you will balance technical development skills with business analysis and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with operations teams to identify high-impact process automation opportunities and implement solutions using RPA platforms (such as UiPath, Power Automate, etc..) and scripting languages (Python, VBA, SQL, etc.). The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of operational processes and controls, experience delivering automation projects, and excellent communication skills to ensure successful adoption of new solutions. Responsibilities & capabilities: •
Process Analysis & Opportunity Identification:
Work with teams to uncover automation use cases, evaluate feasibility and potential value, and prioritize quick-win opportunities. Clearly document business requirements, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes for each initiative. •
Automation Solution Design & Development:
Translate business and control requirements into robust automation solution designs. Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions using RPA tools, workflow automation software, and scripting technologies. Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and meet performance expectations. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), rollout, and operational readiness for all automation deployments. •
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Adoption:
Serve as a liaison between technology teams and business stakeholders in operations. Provide training and guidance to operations staff adopting new automated processes to ensure smooth transitions. After implementation, highlight achieved improvements and value to encourage organization-wide support for automation initiatives. •
Production Support & Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and support production automations, promptly investigating and resolving any incidents or exceptions to minimize business disruption. Perform root-cause analysis on automation failures and implement enhancements to prevent recurrence. Gather feedback post-implementation and drive continuous improvement of automation solutions and processes. Identify opportunities to reuse components and implement best practices to increase efficiency and consistency across Wealth Management Operations automation projects. •
Communication & Reporting:
Provide transparent updates on project status, risks, and realized benefits to stakeholders and leadership. Ensure any risks or issues are escalated in a timely manner and that project milestones are well-communicated.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Approximately 5+ years of experience designing and delivering process automation solutions in the financial services industry (preferably within Wealth Management Operations). •
Automation Tools Expertise:
Hands-on experience with leading RPA/automation platforms - such as Alteryx, UiPath & Microsoft Power Automate for developing automated workflows. Strong scripting/programming skills in languages like Python, VBA, or SQL for building custom automation scripts and integrations. •
Domain Knowledge:
Solid understanding of Wealth Management Operations processes, including areas like trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, client reporting, reference data, and exception management. •
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Demonstrated strength in business analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving. Ability to analyze complex operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and define improvement solutions. Critical thinking skills to challenge assumptions, validate automation outcomes, and ensure solutions are robust and error proofed by design.
