What to Expect
Specializing in wireless technologies within manufacturing environments, this role provides analytical and technical guidance across build and operational support, wireless engineering, and implementation. The engineer will support the development and documentation of knowledge articles, ensure compliance with established system architecture, regulatory requirements, and security policies, and play a key role in implementing design standards and best practices defined by network architects. What You'll Do
Collaborate closely with Network Architects to support wireless design initiatives and execution
Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting of factory and warehouse wireless networks using available infrastructure monitoring tools
Monitor, analyze, and report on key wireless performance metrics and operational health
Serve as a Tier-2/3 escalation point for complex wireless issues
Lead and coordinate the implementation of new wireless services and upgrades
Ensure compliance with wireless regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements
Document enterprise wireless infrastructure components and maintain the operational "Runbook"
Be available to work occasional weekends, after-hours, and holidays as needed
Must be onsite at the factory location on a daily basis and the ability to physically lift up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) What You'll Bring
Extensive experience with wireless solutions based on
IEEE 802.11
standards, including encryption, WIDS, rogue detection, 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP-TLS, wireless client chipset and driver behavior, and RF engineering for wireless planning
Proficient in multi-vendor wireless technologies, including Aruba Networks (controllers, AOS8, I/AP), Aruba ClearPass, Aruba AirWave, Juniper Mist, Cisco Meraki, and Splunk
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and layered architecture
Hands-on experience with wireless diagnostic tools, including spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, and site survey tools such as Ekahau and Hamina
Proven experience supporting wireless networks for voice and video applications with strict QoS and performance requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio for documentation, reporting, and network diagramming
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex, high-level technical issues
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Compensation and Benefits
