In this pivotal role, you will lead a manage complex network systems, and ensure the highest levels of security, availability, and performance across our IT environment. Your expertise in computer networking, network security, and system administration will drive innovative solutions that support our organization's growth and operational excellence. This role offers a dynamic environment where your leadership and technical prowess will make a tangible impact on our digital backbone. Duties Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-wide network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, data centers, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. Oversee the configuration and management of network devices including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki switches, and SD-WAN solutions. Implement and monitor advanced network security protocols using tools like Cisco
ISE, PKI
systems, VPNs (IPsec), SSL/TLS encryption, LDAP authentication, and multi-factor authentication (SAML/SOAP). Conduct vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection system (IDS) management, and regular audits to safeguard against cyber threats. Manage network support operations including troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), TCP/IP configurations, DNS/DHCP services, load balancing solutions, and high availability architectures. Automate network provisioning and system administration tasks utilizing scripting languages such as Python, Bash shell scripting, PowerShell, and configuration management tools like Ansible. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network architecture planning for new projects involving virtualization (VMware vSphere), containerization (Citrix), SAN/NFS storage solutions, and cloud security best practices. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network topology, configurations, policies using GPOs (Group Policy Objects), network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG, and incident response procedures aligned with ITIL standards. Qualifications Proficiency in ClearPass NAC policies and certificate-based authentication (802.1X). Ability to independently obtain proficiency in, or possess existing knowledge of, Extreme VSP (VOSS), Extreme ERS (BOSS), Extreme Switch Engine (EXOS), stacking, and MAB authentication. Ability to independently obtain proficiency in, or possess existing knowledge of, Extreme XIQ cloud management and NAC engine platforms. Expert-level understanding of IP routing, including at least two standard routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIPv2, IS-IS), Ethernet switching troubleshooting, and mastery of the OSI model. Ability to collect and analyze packet captures (Wireshark or CLI) for basic troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies for project management.
