Kings Point, New York, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Kings Point, New York. Overview This role involves providing overall network engineering support across a broad range of programs, including planning, designing, evaluating, and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities. The position requires comprehensive technical knowledge and the ability to complete complex assignments, supporting the full system engineering lifecycle from requirements analysis to implementation. Responsibilities Support and contribute to network engineering tasks across various programs.
Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve capabilities.
Establish and recommend policy changes affecting subordinate teams.
Work on complex problems requiring independent judgment and evaluation of multiple factors.
Ensure project schedules and performance objectives are met.
Interact regularly with customers and functional managers, potentially engaging with senior management.
Lead, supervise, and train lower-level network engineers.
Coordinate activities of sections or departments with responsibility for results related to costs, methods, and personnel.
Provide technical direction, leadership, and mentorship to less experienced staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field.
6+ years of experience in technical tasks related to network engineering.
Knowledge of network systems, design, and evaluation techniques.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
