15+ Years Preferred Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), enterprise WAN/LAN infrastructure, and network operations. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling both technical design and operational support activities while leading network modernization initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-scale network environments with a focus on reliability, security, scalability, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise WAN, LAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructure environments. Lead network modernization initiatives involving Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) deployment and high-speed internet connectivity solutions. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable network solutions and low-level technical designs. Create implementation plans, migration strategies, and operational readiness documentation. Perform configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies. Manage and optimize Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure for performance, resiliency, and redundancy. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP and OSPF. Support carrier WAN circuits, internet services, and SD-WAN overlays. Implement network segmentation, QoS, VLANs, EtherChannel, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and switch stacking technologies. Maintain network security standards and ensure compliance with enterprise security policies. Work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and managed service providers to deliver network solutions. Handle major incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis for network-related issues. Prepare and review Record of Change (RoC) documents for network changes. Submit and manage ServiceNow change requests with complete implementation and rollback details. Develop and maintain network standards, support runbooks, as-built documentation, and configuration templates. Store operational artifacts and documentation in SharePoint repositories. Provide operational handoff and readiness support to infrastructure operations teams. Participate in network audits, risk mitigation planning, and disaster recovery initiatives. Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements. Required Technical Skills
