Job Description

Automation Engineer/Scientist - Contract - Tarrytown NY Power scientific discovery by automating the future of protein expression and antibody development. Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer/Scientist to support protein expression sciences and antibody discovery efforts.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will manage automated equipment and contribute to cell line development initiatives. This position is ideal for someone passionate about scientific innovation, skilled in automation technologies, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Skills & Requirements:
Develop, implement, and troubleshoot automation methods for standalone and integrated systems, including Hamilton Robotics, Dynamic Devices, and HighRes Biosolutions. Coordinate testing and deployment of new automation methods with scientists. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems and existing methods. Oversee maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) of automated equipment. Ensure proper storage of samples in the automated biobank and manage its continuous maintenance. Train new users on equipment operation, create SOPs, and provide ongoing technical support. Contribute innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sample throughput and data quality. Collaborate with scientists to identify unmet needs and develop new automation solutions. Compensation:
