Through the 2-1-1 Texas Panhandle Helpline, United Way connects individuals and families to critical community resources, crisis support, and stabilization services, while advancing systems-level coordination and community impact. Position Summary
The Community Navigator serves as a frontline resource specialist for the 2-1-1 Texas Panhandle Helpline, providing comprehensive information & referral (I&R), crisis intervention, advocacy, and navigation services to individuals and families across the Texas Panhandle. Community Navigators assess needs, identify appropriate resources, support callers through complex systems, and provide follow-up when appropriate to promote stabilization and self-sufficiency. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work effectively in high-stress situations. After successful completion of training and performance benchmarks, this position may transition to a remote work arrangement, subject to program and operational needs.
