Job Description

Job Summary :
The Access Analyst works within the Access Division to ensure leading practice scheduling templates and algorithms are in place, thereby permitting efficient utilization of provider capacity. This includes close work with clinical departments and IT to identify business needs, translate into technical specifications, and build according to leading practice. Successful access analysts will lean on technical, analytical, and communication skills to optimize scheduling for ambulatory appointments.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical build. Builds and maintains accurate resource (e.g., provider) scheduling templates within the EMR environment. Reviews requests for permanent modifications, additions, and new builds in the EMR and implements according to leading practice, working with the IT build team as needed. Proactively responds to system-wide changes (e.g., new EMR functionality) by identifying relevant templates and making required adjustments. Analyzes anticipated impact of requested template and scheduling algorithm changes and provides information to department and operations leadership for final approval. Leverages strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems and contribute to solution development as needed. Runs and distributes reports on template utilization, functionality, and modifications. Effectively engages with clinical stakeholders to gather requirements for scheduling templates and algorithms, and translates business requirements into technical specifications. Partners with other IT departments if they have a shared responsibility for implementation. Collaborates with members of WMC enterprise analytics teams and IT teams to successfully run and distribute reports on template utilization, functionality, and modifications.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Experience in patient access or consulting. Familiarity with EMR (e.g., Cerner or Epic) and Salesforce.

Bachelor's degree Licenses /

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Special Requirements:
This position has the potential to offer a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. Specific remote days may be determined based on team needs and business priorities.
