Job Description

Don't miss the opportunity to join a growing, full-service contractor and supplier of engineered building automation control and HVAC systems. This growing company is seeking an energetic team member who strives to succeed and make a difference in a fast paced, hands on, engineering environment. The company designs, installs and services building automation systems. They are seeking an experienced Building Automation Controls Design Engineer to join the engineering team in the Mid-Atlantic area. This is a hybrid or remote working environment so you may live anywhere in the region but must be willing to occasionally visit job sites as required. The Design Engineer will develop drawing packages for new projects as well as compiling close out documents including as-built drawings. Other responsibilities include supporting engineers in researching part numbers and manufacturers and assisting the Sales Team to develop system drawings in support of technical proposals. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction and provide other graphic support as required. Two or more years' experience of two-dimensional AutoCAD and Visio software experience or alternate BAS design software, plus an understanding of temperature control sequence of ops experience required. Compensation commensurate with experience, up to $100,000-125,000.
Basic Qualifications:
Two or more years' experience using software to design HVAC control systems for a temperature controls/BAS company. Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings. Ability to assist with system commissioning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot the machinery with which our control systems interface. The ability to work independently, as well as on a project team. The ability to work on strict deadlines without constant supervision.
