Job Duties:
To exhibit a fair and consistent management approach that follows the principles outlined. To persuade and support the following of Company policies and business objectives in the daily management of the operations of the Company. To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards..
Specific Job Duties:
Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for all automation equipment, including Robots. Design, program, and optimize Vision Systems, PLCs, and associated HMIs to improve efficiency, uptime, and product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, install, and commission new automation equipment and systems as needed. Lead or support capital projects related to automation and robotics, including vendor evaluation, specification development, and implementation. Coordinate and deliver training to operations and maintenance personnel to ensure proper understanding of automation systems, safety integration, and maintenance best practices. Manage and execute engineering changes and process improvements to reduce downtime, increase productivity, and improve system reliability. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance standards for automation equipment. Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process innovations. Prepare progress and project status reports to communicate key milestones, risks, and performance metrics to leadership. May require weekend work on occasion or support from home if weekend shift is working. Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years' experience in programming and integrating Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex). Proficiency in reading AutoCAD drawings and system schematics. Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and automation control principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence others across departments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering preferred. A combination of education and significant relevant work experience (minimum 10 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree. Physical 
Requirements:
This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking for up to eight (8) hours a day, the ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis. Good vision at a close distance is required. Must be capable of performing repetitive motion at, above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours a day.
