JOB SUMMARY

Vaco is currently seeking a Google Workspace Engineer for a 6M C2H opportunity that is remote. The Google Workspace Engineer will own day-to-day incident response and Tier 3 support with a heavy emphasis on Gmail reliability, performance, and complex technical issues.

• Leading Incident Response / Troubleshooting for Complex Gmail Issues (Mail Flow / Performance / Routing / Delivery / Inbox Behavior / Labels / Filters / Quotas) Email Infrastructure / Authentication
• Diagnosing / Resolving Issues Across Mail Routing / DNS (MX / SPF / DKIM / DMARC) | SMTP / Relay Configurations / User Access / Authentication (SSO / OAuth / SAML) API / Automation
• Leveraging Google Workspace Admin SDK / Gmail API (REST) to Investigate Cross-Domain Issues / Build Automation / Scripts / Improve Monitoring / Reporting / Bulk Remediation Automation / Scripting
• Utilizing PowerShell / Python for Automation / Operational Efficiency Tier 3 Support / Escalations
• Providing Advanced Support to Internal IT / Operations Teams for Escalated Google Workspace / Gmail Issues Root Cause Analysis / Remediation
• Performing Root Cause Analysis / Implementing Permanent Fixes for Recurring or High-Impact Incidents Security / Compliance
• Supporting Security Hardening / Configuration Reviews / Compliance Policies / Audit | Logging Best Practices for Google Workspace Integration Support
• Supporting Integrations with M365 / Exchange Online (Mail Flow / Provisioning Between Platforms) Documentation / Knowledge Management
• Maintaining / Enhancing Runbooks / Knowledge Base Articles / Operational Playbooks On-Call Support
• Participating in On-Call Rotation for Critical Incident Response
