$70-78/Hr on W-2 without benefits.Remote/Hybrid/Onsite:
Hybrid; Resource must be local to Boston, MA. Need more on networking side rather then security one with Cisco ISE (NAC): Top 3 Required Skills SD-WAN (Palo Alto ION): 10+ years design and global management.Cisco Infrastructure:
10+ years in complex BGP routing, switches, and routers. Cisco ISE (NAC): 10+ years implementing Zero Trust and 802.1X/MAB strategies. Disqualifiers Candidates requiring sponsorship within the next 6 months (Must be authorized for long-term). Non-local candidates (Local to Boston required). Lack of 10+ years in Network Engineering.Visa/Work Authorization:
Candidate must be approved to work in the US beyond 6 months (Long-term role). Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Network Engineering Manager to lead the architecture and operational governance of enterprise-grade network infrastructure. This role focuses on driving global SD-WAN standards, managing hybrid/multi-cloud networking across AWS and Azure, and implementing robust Network Access Control (NAC) strategies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while ensuring network performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities- Lead global SD-WAN architecture, defining standards for topology, routing, resiliency, and application-aware traffic steering.
- Drive Network Access Control (NAC) strategy using Cisco ISE, aligning with Zero Trust principles for secure device onboarding.
- Design and govern hybrid/multi-cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
- Establish global hub-and-spoke and transit architectures to balance scalability and resiliency.
- Define and implement enterprise segmentation across campus, data center, and cloud environments, including VPC/VNet design and IP addressing.
- Oversee cloud contact center solutions (Zoom Phone, SIP call flows), managing provisioning, call flows, and reporting.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to support disaster recovery and compliance.
- Provide technical oversight, resolve complex issues, and mentor engineering teams to enhance operational maturity. Required Skills
Network Engineering Expertise:
10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture and design.SD-WAN:
Specialized experience in Palo AltoION SD-WAN
platforms and global architecture models.Cisco Routing & Switching:
Deep expertise in Cisco switches, routers, and complex BGP routing environments.Cisco ISE:
Strong proficiency in Cisco ISE for NAC, including 802.1X and MAB authentication models.Cloud Networking:
Proven expertise in AWS (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53) and Azure (ExpressRoute, VNet Gateway).Network Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and define operational standards. Nice-to-Have SkillsVoice Networking:
Experience with Zoom Phone and SIP call flows.Certifications:
Active industry certifications (CCNP/CCIE or Cloud certifications) are preferred. Candidate Traits- Strategic thinker with the ability to align technical decisions with business needs.
