We're hiring a Systems Engineer to support complex Navy IT systems in developing, operating, and maintaining complex technology systems using engineering principles, theories, and concepts. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for planning, design, integration, and installation of complex information systems, configuration management and control systems, computer systems and related subsystems for Navy Programs. The Systems Engineer shall maintain a secret clearance and provide systems engineering expertise, to include hardware system design, analysis of alternatives, end-of-life planning, technical documentation, and testing for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.Minimum Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance. CompTIA Security + is required. Prior experience in a DOD, Navy, NAVWAR program or related field. Must have recent working experience with Ansible, YAML, XML, Python, GIT, and Bitbucket. Familiarity with ADNS or other NAVY Networks.Essential Functions:
Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies. Experience with encryption technologies and data security practices Familiarity with Configuration Management tools (e.g., CMPro). Experience with Agile workflows, such as Scrum or Kanban. Experience in applying analytical skills to support process improvement, studies, and analysis project. Experience with current servers, switching, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies. Conduct data analyses, interpret, and summarize results. Conduct technical requirements definition / allocation. Develop technical documentation, to include test plans and reports. Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
