Network / System Engineer#26-05563 Chandler, AZ 40% Remote Contract Starts 7/31/2026 Ends 7/30/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an Internal Cloud PaaS (TAS) Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the design, build, and ongoing engineering of the Internal Cloud Platform's Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability based on VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS). The engineer will ensure the TAS platform meets enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, security, and developer experience while integrating seamlessly with the broader internal cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate will own the TAS platform architecture, configuration standards, and engineering patterns that govern how applications are built, deployed, and operated.

Responsibilities:

Engineer and evolve TAS foundations and define platform integration patterns across the VMware stack Enable secure and scalable application runtimes Support application onboarding and modernization to the PaaS model Collaborate with platform automation, SRE, and operations teams to continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management

Requirements:

4-5 years of experience engineering or operating Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments Strong hands-on experience with Linux, application runtimes, and platform architecture Familiarity with VMware, virtualization concepts, and internal cloud platforms Experience supporting developer onboarding, CI/CD integration, and application runtime platforms Desired skills: Direct experience with VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS) or Cloud Foundry 5-7+ years supporting enterprise PaaS or internal developer platforms PaaS, cloud platform, or DevOps certification Experience modernizing applications to PaaS models in regulated enterprises Pay rate: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
