Remote OT Network Engineer

Job Description The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure within the operational technology environment. This includes verifying firewall configurations, conducting site discovery, creating the low level site wide network diagrams, and creating firewall ACL lists. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for evaluating network equipment and ensuring proper monitoring and logging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify Firewalls are configured in accordance with ADM standards: Ensure firewall configurations meet organizational standards and security requirements.
• Conduct site discovery using Asset Inventory tools and switch commands: Perform thorough site discovery to gather network information.
• Create firewall ACL lists and host design review sessions to request approval: Develop Access Control Lists and present them for approval.
• Evaluate network equipment for port capacity, speed, and warranty status: Assess network equipment to ensure it meets performance and warranty criteria.
• Configure and troubleshoot approved ACLs in Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls: Implement and resolve issues with Access Control Lists in firewalls.
• Request quotes for equipment replacement if needed: Obtain quotes for replacing network equipment as necessary.
• Add network devices to a network monitoring application: Integrate network devices into monitoring systems for ongoing oversight.
