Job Description

Job TitleSenior Automation Field Supervisor - Critical FacilitiesRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Automation Field Supervisor to lead and support Building Automation System deployments across critical environment facilities nationwide. This role blends hands‑on BAS engineering and programming with field leadership, technical oversight, and customer coordination. You will work on large, complex automation systems supporting data centers, healthcare, life sciences, and other mission‑critical facilities where uptime and performance are essential.

This is a hybrid position combining remote work, field presence, and travel to project sites across the United States.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead field execution of large‑scale BAS projects for critical environment facilitiesProvide hands‑on programming, engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systemsSupervise and mentor field technicians and engineers, ensuring quality and consistency across sitesServe as the technical authority on assigned projects, resolving complex system and integration issuesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to meet schedule and performance requirementsReview drawings, sequences of operation, submittals, and control strategiesSupport system startup, functional testing, and integrated systems testingEnsure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practicesTravel nationwide as required to support project execution and client needsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in Building Automation Systems or HVAC controlsPrior experience in a field leadership, supervisory, or lead technician roleStrong background supporting critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, labs, or industrial facilitiesProven experience with BAS programming, engineering, and commissioningAbility to manage multiple projects and teams in fast‑paced environmentsStrong communication skills and customer‑facing professionalismValid driver's license and ability to travel within the U.S.Preferred QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, HVAC, or a related fieldOEM or manufacturer training and certificationsExperience leading commissioning or startup teamsFamiliarity with redundancy, high‑availability systems, and mission‑critical operational standardsTechnical CompetenciesBuilding Automation Systems including large, enterprise‑level platformsHVAC controls, airside and waterside systems, and central plant operationsBAS programming, graphics development, and database managementOpen protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorksIntegration of mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systemsCommissioning tools, diagnostics, and network troubleshootingWork Environment and TravelHybrid work environment with a mix of remote work and on‑site field supportNationwide travel required based on project needsWork performed in active critical facilities requiring attention to safety, documentation, and uptimeCompensation and GrowthSalary range up to $150,000, based on experience and qualificationsComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement optionsOpportunity to work on high‑profile critical facilities projectsClear path for continued technical and leadership growth within the organization
