• this is a remote job however the initial interview is in-person Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in Fortinet security technologies and strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable network infrastructures across hybrid on‑prem and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with FortiGate firewalls , FortiManager , FortiAnalyzer , Forti

SASE , ZTNA

, and SD‑WAN , along with strong knowledge of AWS networking, Zero Trust architecture, and multi‑vendor security ecosystems. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and optimize Fortinet‑based security architectures , including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE, ZTNA, and SD‑WAN. Implement and manage FortiGate firewalls across on‑premises and cloud environments (AWS AMIs, VPC segmentation, VPNs, traffic policies). Develop and maintain Zero Trust and SASE security frameworks. Automate configuration and policy management using FortiOS scripting and standardized templates. Lead multi‑site firewall deployments, upgrades, and migrations. Integrate Fortinet solutions with Cisco, Palo Alto, and other network/security platforms. Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot complex network‑security issues using FortiAnalyzer and other tools. Support compliance initiatives (NIST 800‑171, RMF, CMMC) through documentation and security controls implementation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure secure, resilient network operations. Required Skills & Experience Expert‑level hands‑on experience with FortiGate firewalls and the broader Fortinet ecosystem. Strong knowledge of AWS networking , VPC design, IAM, and cloud‑security controls. Experience with Zero Trust , SASE , and modern segmentation strategies. Proficiency with Cisco networking (routing, switching, VLANs, BGP). Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and multi‑vendor security environments. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and incident‑response skills. Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Windows/Linux systems. Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, and other security frameworks. Fortinet NSE4 certification required;
