This is a 6 month contract opportunity. ​

Pay Rate:

$65.00 - $70.00 per hour The Senior Tel/Network Engineer will design, configure, manage, troubleshoot, support and implement the Tel/Network Infrastructure. This role also involves project management and coordinating the efforts of varied support staff, actively participating in decisions on technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for the enterprise network.

Responsibilities:

Under general direction, actively involved in decisions on technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for the enterprise tel/data network Assists and sometimes leads the deployment of tel/network technology Exercises a high level of independent judgment Analyzesplex technical issues w analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment Provides input to short and long-term section strategy and budget planning Assists with analysis of tel/network infrastructure services Proactively explores new technologies and integrates them into the organization's technical and business processes Using established tools, actively monitors tel/network services for problems and then resolves them Plans and leads local and medium size enterprise projects and performs project management coordinating the efforts of internal and external staff with the customer and business needs Occasionally oversees projects and tasks assigned to project team members and may be asked to provide input to their evaluations Occasionally works under stressful conditions, leading medium-sized implementations and troubleshooting efforts that may have significant patient care and/or financial impact to the organization May be required to perform some of the duties of a Tel/Network Specialist Will represent the Unit to variousmittees at the institution

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of four (4) years of professional work experience OR Associate s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of professional work experience OR a minimum of eight (8) years of professional technical experience required for individuals without a degree Extensive knowledge of tel/network concepts, protocols, and 7-layer OSI model In-depth understanding of basic tel/network management and monitoring tools Understands the interrelations of tel/network technology and other information technology Must be able to work independently and able to work effectively in a team environment Must be customer focused and possess excellentmunications and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of personnel at various levels within and outside the institution Good organizational and time management skills are required to handle the workload and track the various projects going on simultaneously Solid analytical skills Should demonstrate presence of skills such as coaching, human relations and leading effective meetings

URGENT BACKFILL

Requirements:

Working in multiple network infrastructure disciplines including routing, switching, and wireless. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with basic network and network security monitoring/management tools. Utilizes, operates and maintains network security infrastructure and services involving network access control, network segmentation (TrustSec, Client), VPN, secure web browsing, internet caching and DNS security devices to ensure data integrity and network security is maintained. Provides assistance and may be asked to take a network leadership role with network troubleshooting and remediation of security related incidents or network security investigations in coordination with the Desk, ITOC and SOC. Familiar with software defined networking tools including, but not limited to, firewalls, WAN/LAN, SASE, and Cloud networking. Familiar with scripting and automation tools such as Splunk, Ansible, Python, and .Net. Knowledge of standard project methodology (Agile and/or Waterfall) processes, tools and terminologies. Cisco preferred. CCNA preferred Hybrid, remote opportunities after 3 months. Equipment will be provided.
