The Opportunity The Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and modernized platform engineering capabilities that enable MetLife's global technology ecosystem to operate efficiently and scale effectively across the United States and supported regions. This position plays a critical role in strengthening the infrastructure foundation that supports MetLife's customers, applications, and business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of MetLife's infrastructure by driving automation, modern runtime adoption, and cloud‑aligned engineering practices while directly contributing to faster delivery, stronger resiliency, and a more innovative technology landscape. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Azure DevOps (AzDO) pipelines, automation workflows, and CI/CD processes supporting enterprise platforms Manage and support container image governance, including certification, maintenance, and promotion across environments Implement and enhance automation using Ansible Automation Platform to streamline operational tasks Support and maintain IBM WebSphere, Liberty, and containerized runtimes across on‑prem and cloud platforms Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions and communicate technical updates to leadership and stakeholders Required Qualifications 3-5 years of professional IT experience in infrastructure engineering or platform operations Bachelor's degree in a technology discipline or related field experience Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and container image governance. Proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language (Python or shell preferred) Experience with IBM WebSphere and Liberty runtimes, cloud platforms, and container orchestration (Azure AKS, ARO, or OpenShift) Ability to communicate effectively with management, technical teams, and business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with code versioning working with various repository platforms such as JFrog Artifactory, GitHub, or similar Familiarity with Ansible Automation Platform. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and use of Azure DevOps for work management Exposure to enterprise cloud modernization initiatives or container platform migrations Relevant certifications (Azure, Red Hat, Kubernetes, or similar)
Location Expectation:
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $85,000
  • $107,000.
This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
