Job Description
Network Engineer Need Local to Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Southern Massachusetts Contract Network Engineers to support ongoing network operations, infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and engineering initiatives. This is a backfill opening with a team that has continued growth plans and a strong track record of converting and retaining top performers. The client is open to a range of experience levels, from mid-level engineers through senior-level network professionals, provided candidates have solid networking fundamentals and can work independently. Required Experience Strong Cisco networking background Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and enterprise network infrastructure Network troubleshooting and operational support experience Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications CCNA (minimum preferred certification) CCNP highly desired Experience with Palo Alto technologies Azure networking experience Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networking experience Additional network/security certifications are a plus Technical Environment Cisco networking technologies Routing & Switching Firewalls Fiber networking Network Operations and Engineering support Infrastructure upgrades and migrations What They're Looking For The hiring team is looking for engineers who: Are curious and proactive Bring solutions, not just problems Can think independently without constant direction Enjoy working collaboratively within a highly interactive team environment Have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Team Environment Large infrastructure organization (25+ engineers) Collaborative, team-oriented culture Mix of military, commercial, and New England-based professionals Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and cultural fit Schedule & Support Expectations Standard EST business hours Flexibility required during major migrations or infrastructure changes that may occur after hours Some positions may participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately once every 6-7 weeks) Interview Process One interview process Interview with management and senior engineers Technical discussion covering networking fundamentals, troubleshooting scenarios, routing, switching, firewalls, fiber, and overall engineering approach Offer decisions made quickly for qualified candidates Munesh , CYBER SPHERE LLC
