Senior Network Engineer
Job Description:
DPP is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an opportunity in Blythewood, SC. Work location: Onsite in Blythewood, SC.
Duration:
12 months, with the possibility of extension
Term:
W2 position; consultant Candidate location: Candidates must be residents of SC, NC, or GA AND be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC prior to their start date Position description: The Sr. Network Administrator will act as a point of reference for the Network Operations Center team on technical issues. While reporting to the Network Operations Center Manager, the Network Administrator will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems, making recommendations, and implementing changes with little to no supervision. In alignment with Agency standards, this position contributes advanced technical expertise to support and strengthen daily NOC operations. Daily duties include managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a statewide network infrastructure built upon a foundation of various solutions, such as Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, and Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies. The Sr. Network Engineer will be proactive in their approach to monitor network performance, ensure efficient communication across the network, review and improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices, and implement updates or changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance. Candidate will be part of a multi-team environment and must have the ability to work as part of those teams and must have the ability to support multiple tasks at the same time, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will work closely with technical teams and should be able to provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers where appropriate.

Education:
Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of relevant experience in addition to required years of experience
Responsibilities:
Perform the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products. Troubleshoot network failures and identify network problems. Network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support. Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation. Provide configuration, troubleshooting and problem resolution support. Troubleshoot and remediate issues in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure.
Additional:
A valid driver's license is required. Potential to travel to other Agency HQ and Field Office Locations using a state vehicle. Interested?
