Job Description

Knoxville, TN | Senior Network Engineer | Full-time We are actively recruiting a Senior Network Engineer for our client in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a full-time opportunity that will require an on-campus presence and work in Knoxville. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level networking professional to lead enterprise wired and wireless network initiatives and influence network architecture in a complex production environment. Must have strong experience with LAN/WAN networking, routing protocols (including BGP), and enterprise network infrastructure. Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Key Responsibilities Lead wired and wireless network projects from design through deployment Design, deploy, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks Research and implement new networking technologies and improvements Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on major upgrades and outages Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues Maintain accurate network documentation and configurations Provide senior-level technical guidance and on-call support as required Required Qualifications Associate degree 6+ years of experience in network administration or network engineering Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Layer 2/3, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, and firewalls Advanced understanding of VPN technologies and encryption Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and security devices Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PMP, AZ-900, AZ-700, CWNA, or similar Experience with large-scale campus networks, hybrid cloud, EVPN/VXLAN, or higher education environments Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
