Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a Contract Network Engineer to join our client's IT department. As a Contract Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design:
Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks, to meet the organization's requirements for performance, security, and scalability.
Network Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Security Implementation:
Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect the network from external threats.
Network Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve network issues, perform network testing, and work with end-users to provide technical support for network-related problems.
Capacity Planning:
Evaluate network performance and capacity, making recommendations for upgrades or changes to accommodate the organization's growth.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and updates to facilitate troubleshooting, auditing, and compliance.
Vendor Collaboration:
Collaborate with network equipment vendors and service providers to manage procurement, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
Network Optimization:
Identify opportunities for network optimization and cost reduction while maintaining or improving network performance.
