Job Description
Job Description An Insight Global client is seeking a Controls Engineer based in India (preferred locations: Pune or Bangalore) to support the backend development and support of industrial automation and control systems used in production enhancement technologies. This role focuses primarily on control system development, code maintenance, system testing, and documentation, rather than field commissioning and travel. On a daily basis, this engineer will develop and update PLC and Siemens-based control logic, support software verification and validation activities, and assist with the configuration and maintenance of automation networks and communication protocols. The role collaborates closely with U.S.-based engineering teams to resolve control system issues, optimize performance, and support ongoing enhancements, requiring some overlap with Central Time Zone hours. This position is mostly remote with minimal travel and plays a key role in ensuring system stability, consistency, and scalability across global deployments.
