Job Description

Job Description An Insight Global client is seeking a Controls Engineer based in India (preferred locations: Pune or Bangalore) to support the backend development and support of industrial automation and control systems used in production enhancement technologies. This role focuses primarily on control system development, code maintenance, system testing, and documentation, rather than field commissioning and travel. On a daily basis, this engineer will develop and update PLC and Siemens-based control logic, support software verification and validation activities, and assist with the configuration and maintenance of automation networks and communication protocols. The role collaborates closely with U.S.-based engineering teams to resolve control system issues, optimize performance, and support ongoing enhancements, requiring some overlap with Central Time Zone hours. This position is mostly remote with minimal travel and plays a key role in ensuring system stability, consistency, and scalability across global deployments. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
