Clearance Requirement:
Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
90-100% travel requirement. Lead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government. Conduct Site Surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Install, connect, and test network infrastructure equipment (ex. Switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, and wireless controllers) Create detailed Site Survey reports detailing a site s current infrastructure, NIST and TEMPEST compliance, along with design recommendations. Configure, install, test, certify, and troubleshoot network infrastructure cabling. Ensure Network cabling infrastructure is compliant with current NIST and TEMPEST Standards. Build and install equipment racks. Install, dress, label, and terminate Cat6 and Fiber cable in telecommunications rooms. Test and troubleshoot network infrastructure issues on SIPR and NIPR networks. Create accurate reports and documentation to design/certify network infrastructure. Track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner. Develop Bills of Material (BOM) for network plant design requirements. Plan and perform preventive maintenance and scheduled upgrades (Life-cycle replacements) Investigate physical faults in the network. Report network infrastructure deployment status to key stakeholders. Have flexible working hours to be available to support off hour work, when needed.
Must haves:
Bachelor s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Understanding of ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards. Requirements of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security and/or the Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA). Knowledge of National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003. Knowledge of DISA network topologies and standards. Topology and rack elevations using Visio. Experience with various OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers to develop reports for infrastructure certification documentation.
