WAN Infrastructure Network Engineer Job Summary:

As a WAN Infrastructure Network Engineer, you will design, implement, and support highly available, scalable, and secure network infrastructure. You will operate with a security-first and automation-driven mindset to enable reliable and high-performance connectivity across enterprise, cloud, and data center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and optimize WAN, backbone, carrier hotel, LAN, data center, and cloud connectivity (AWS/GCP), including Cisco ACI fabrics. Lead high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) and implementation of WAN solutions, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and compliance with industry standards. Deploy and support 10G/100G network infrastructure, including dark fiber rings, point-to-point circuits, wave circuits, and DIA connectivity. Build and manage hybrid cloud connectivity, including AWS Direct Connect and Cloud Interconnect. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve network issues; act as the highest escalation point for complex incidents to minimize business impact. Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and compliance. Perform Proof of Concepts (PoCs), chaos testing, and validation of new technologies. Develop and implement network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and REST APIs. Configure and manage network segmentation and policies including VRFs, EPGs, bridge domains, and SDN constructs. Support and maintain Cisco ACI and SDN environments. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and support off-hours change implementations. Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and runbooks using tools like Visio and Lucidchart. Conduct lab testing and simulations using tools such as Cisco Modeling Labs (CML), VIRL, or GNS3. Promote automation, observability, and security-first principles across network operations. Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve network performance and reliability. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in enterprise or data center network engineering / WAN engineering Strong hands-on experience with: o Cisco (NCS, ASR, Nexus, ACI), Arista, Ciena, Aruba, Dell platforms o Operating systems: IOS-XE, IOS-XR, Arista EOS Deep knowledge of routing protocols:

OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP

Experience with: o Policy-based routing, route maps, VRRP o Tunneling technologies: IPSec, GRE, MACsec o SD-WAN solutions (Aruba, Versa Networks) Strong understanding of: o TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, QoS o Technologies such as

VXLAN, EVPN, ECMP, MLAG/VPC

Experience with WAN technologies: MPLS, VRF, DWDM, optical networking Knowledge of network security devices such as Palo Alto NGFWs and Cisco ASA VPNs Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud networking constructs: o AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect Gateway o GCP Cloud Router and Interconnect Proficiency in network automation and scripting: o Python (Netmiko, NAPALM, Paramiko), Ansible, REST APIs Experience with large-scale deployments and automation frameworks Familiarity with change management and compliance processes Strong project management, communication, and documentation skills Certifications (Preferred) CCNP or CCIE Arista ACE (L2-L5 or higher) Versa Networks or Aruba SD-WAN certifications

Salary and Other Compensation:
