Enterprise WAN Engineer

Job Requirements 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise networking specializing in wide area network (WAN) design and architecture. Proficiency in software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) technologies within secure enclave and air-gapped environments. Experience with BGP, OSPF, and MPLS routing protocols for high-assurance mission communications infrastructure. Experience with multi-vendor networking platforms including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewall technologies. Experience in RMF processes, DISA STIG compliance, and security control implementation for network infrastructure. Experience with Type 1 inline encryption, cross-domain solutions, and multi-enclave connectivity. Excellent communication and presentation skills for translating architectural objectives into detailed implementation plans. Job Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design and modernization of global WAN infrastructures across classified and air-gapped environments. Architect and implement SD-WAN solutions within secure, enclave-based operating environments. Develop and validate enterprise routing configurations using BGP, OSPF, and MPLS to ensure resilient transport diversity. Configure and optimize enterprise firewalls and VPN tunnels to maintain network segmentation across multi-enclave infrastructures. Produce comprehensive technical documentation including migration runbooks, configuration baselines, and detailed network diagrams. Execute network security hardening in alignment with RMF standards and

compliance requirements. Manage the full network engineering lifecycle from lab validation and proof-of-concept to operational transition.
