SYSTEMS / NETWORK ENGINEER
(RDTE) Bowhead is seeking a Systems/Network Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. The Systems/Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. The Systems/Network Engineer will provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures. Responsibilities Must have a strong background in Network switching and TCP/IP protocol analysis. This position requires strong communication skills and strong technical writing capability. Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks. Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches. Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. Perform network modeling and analysis. Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives. Enforce policies for standardizing systems. Qualifications Three years of experience in networking, IT, or other related fields preferred Familiarity with researching communication networks Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reports Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project management CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or qualify for
IAT Level II Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
