Senior SDET Automation Engineer (Java, Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript)#26-21492 $41.42-$46.42 per hour McLean, VA Onsite Job Description Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior SDET Automation Engineer (Java, Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript) for their Mclean, VA location.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and TypeScript Execute end-to-end (E2E), functional, and integration testing across frontend and backend systems Develop and run automated test scripts for UI and API validation Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven) Perform backend and database validation using SQL (DB2, PostgreSQL) Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure quality across all delivery stages Validate that software meets acceptance criteria and business requirements

Requirements:

Target 6-10 year Senior SDET/Automation Engineers with strong Playwright + Java + Selenium + TypeScript + REST Assured expertise and CI/CD exposure (Jenkins/Maven). Financial services or mortgage domain candidates are preferred. Avoid profiles lacking Playwright hands-on experience, API automation, SQL/database validation, or candidates with primarily manual QA backgrounds.
