What You'll Do The Senior Network Engineer leads the planning, design, and evaluation of new and existing computer network systems and services — including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet — providing expert analytical, technical, and administrative support. This role serves as a technical authority and mentor within the network team. Lead enhancements, maintenance, and operational duties on the network; serve as a subject matter expert and escalation resource for the broader IT organization. Architect and implement enterprise network solutions, including LAN/WAN design, firewall strategy, and security frameworks. Configure and manage Corporate Firewalls, including Palo Alto and other next-gen firewall platforms. Work independently and cross-functionally to maintain connectivity with remote locations and ensure proper operation of remote systems. Serve as the primary tier 3 escalation point for network tickets; provide technical mentorship and guidance to help desk staff and junior network team members. Monitor, maintain, and respond to network monitoring and alerts (e.g., SolarWinds); proactively identify and resolve performance and availability issues. Maintain Access-Lists, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security controls to ensure enterprise-wide network security; lead PCI/HIPAA/FIPS
compliance efforts as they relate to network infrastructure. Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise wireless (including 802.1x/RADIUS authentication) and wired network infrastructure. Light Windows/Linux server troubleshooting and support. Develop and maintain enterprise QoS policies. Lead network infrastructure projects from design through implementation, coordinating with stakeholders across IT and the business. Participate in and help manage the on-call rotation. Build and maintain comprehensive documentation, network diagrams, runbooks, and guides for use by all IT team members. Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs. Other duties may be assigned. What You'll Bring Bachelors Degree Required CCNA & CCNP
Required Seven to ten years of relevant experience supporting an enterprise network. Demonstrated experience leading network design and architecture decisions in a complex, multi-site enterprise environment. Must have strong knowledge of managing and maintaining firewalls. Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls required. Expert knowledge of Routing Protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Strong experience implementing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise wireless networks. Experience with PCI/HIPAA/FIPS and other information security standards; ability to lead audit-related network reviews. Proficiency with standard industry tools such as SolarWinds and Wireshark. Experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki and Cisco ISE. Scripting and automation experience (Python, Perl, PHP, PowerShell, etc.) to drive operational efficiency. Working Linux skillset; experience with multicast routing. Sharp troubleshooting skills and proven ability to lead cross-team collaboration to resolve complex network issues.
