Job Description
We are looking for a Security Network Engineer to support a long-term contract engagement in Montpelier, Vermont. This position is ideal for a senior consultant who can oversee complex platform upgrade initiatives while strengthening network security, maintaining operational stability, and coordinating effectively with technical and business teams. The role requires hands-on expertise across enterprise security infrastructure, with a strong focus on planning, execution, validation, and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities:
- Direct enterprise-level upgrade initiatives for Ivanti platforms, managing activities from initial assessment through production rollout and stabilization.
- Review the current technical environment and create practical upgrade plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with business needs.
- Perform platform upgrades, patch deployments, and related migration tasks while limiting service disruption and preserving system integrity.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during upgrade efforts, tuning systems to improve reliability, security, and overall performance.
- Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to coordinate change activity, communicate progress, and address operational concerns.
- Produce clear technical documentation covering procedures, configurations, validation results, and support guidance for ongoing maintenance.
- Support network security operations involving firewall technologies, routing, and perimeter controls within enterprise environments.
