Network Architect

Network Architect at Robert Half in Springfield, Vermont, United States Job Description Description We are looking for a skilled Network Architect with expertise in Microsoft Fabric to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Springfield, Vermont, this role is integral to improving and optimizing an existing data and analytics environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the platform is scalable, efficient, and sustainable while empowering internal teams to manage the system independently.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the current Microsoft Fabric architecture, including data pipelines, LakehouseWarehouse, and Power BI models.
• Identify and address gaps in performance, scalability, and governance across the analytics platform.
• Enhance data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting structures to improve overall system efficiency.
• Establish and implement governance standards, including workspace organization, naming conventions, and documentation.
• Improve data lineage visibility and ownership to ensure platform sustainability.
• Align the architecture with Microsoft Fabric best practices to optimize functionality and performance.
• Provide hands-on training and knowledge transfer to internal technical teams to enable independent management of the platform.
• Deliver a detailed assessment report with strategic recommendations for future enhancements.
• Develop and implement a governance framework and standards to ensure compliance and organization.
• Create comprehensive documentation and a transition plan to facilitate internal ownership. Requirements
• Extensive experience implementing and optimizing Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
• Strong expertise in data engineering, including data pipelines, data modeling, and Power BI semantic models.
• Proven ability to assess and improve existing data and analytics environments.
• Familiarity with translating technical improvements into maintainable, practical solutions.
• Experience working in the Azure ecosystem and leveraging its capabilities.
• Background in mentoring or enabling internal teams through training and knowledge sharing.
• Preferably, experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
