IT Systems and Network Administrator

Role Description This is a hands-on IT operations role supporting a multi-location retail environment across Alaska. In this role, you ll focus on maintaining and supporting our systems, networks, and daily store operations rather than designing them from the ground up. This role is best suited for someone who can troubleshoot independently, work effectively with minimal direction , and handle real-world IT issues. Examples of the areas you'll tackle include workstation refreshes, file recovery, backups, hardware repair, virus resolution, Active Directory and GPO administration, PowerShell scripting, and more. This position is largely focused on infrastructure support to ensure Three Bears is maintaining a secure and operationally stable environment. This is a great opportunity for someone that enjoys being directly involved with the entire stack IT technologies that are used to support the organization. We are not looking for an expert in everything but rather an experienced tech that enjoys a daily challenge, is able to adapt to regularly changing priorities and appreciates the importance of keeping their work environment organized (files, folders, task lists etc.). Regular collaboration with the IT Director (informal, team dynamic) to establish priorities, research, plan and learn.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Maintain uptime of network and systems across all locations (stores, HQ, remote sites) Administer core infrastructure: Windows Server / Active Directory Microsoft 365 Hyper-V SonicWall firewalls Occasional network cabling and physical infrastructure work (running a cable, cleaning up a network cabinet etc.) Troubleshoot and resolve: Network issues (routing, VLANs, WAN, Wi-Fi) Hardware failures (PCs, printers, POS devices) User issues (login, access, application problems) Backup support (not primary) for store operations: POS systems, scanners, printers, and related hardware Manage vendors and coordinate external support when required Perform routine maintenance, patching, and system monitoring Assist with projects and rollouts across multiple locations What This Job Is (and Isn t)

Experience/Education:

4+ years in systems/network administration in a real-world environment (not just lab or academic) Strong working knowledge of : Windows Server / Active Directory / GPO Microsoft 365 administration Virtualization (Hyper-V) Dell Servers and workstation hardware of various brands Firewall and networking fundamentals (SonicWall or similar) Comfortable with : PowerShell Troubleshooting without step-by-step guidance Physical IT work (cabling, equipment installs, etc.) Ni ce to have, but not required : Veeam Backup Company Description Three Bears Alaska is a family-owned chain of Alaskan grocery stores with so much more. Schedule Requirements:

(This position is not considered a Remote/WFH role) Full-time On-site at Corporate HQ in Wasilla, AK. Occasional travel between locations. Occasional after-hours work for maintenance or outages.
