QUALIFICATIONS
: Experience in an educational setting preferred. At least four (4) years' work experience in IT field. Knowledge and experience with computer system administration, management, and troubleshooting. Experience planning, coordinating, and overseeing technical projects related to computer hardware and software initiatives and implementations. Ability to learn current and new systems thoroughly. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability and willingness to work after hours, weekends, or holidays when necessary. Ability to be punctual and maintain regular attendance. Must meet background clearance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
.Must have good written and oral communication skills. Investigate, evaluate, and recommend the purchase of hardware and software for district personnel and school personnel. Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Must be able to plan and create timelines for technology initiatives. Provide technical support, maintenance, and supervision of school and district software programs including, but not limited to child nutrition, inventory and device administration, door access control, transportation, etc. Manage multiple data servers, virtual servers, and operating systems, i.e., Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Macintosh, iOS, Linux, etc. in a network environment. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues throughout the district. Perform computer and network hardware and software installation, maintenance, and upgrades. This includes installing server patches, firmware, and application updates, etc. during non-production hours. Manage or assist in managing district telephone system. Manage or assist in managing wireless systems, access points, etc. Manage or assist in managing Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless network infrastructures. Manage or assist in managing software licensing for district software programs. Oversee and manage Active Directory (AD), Google, Office 365, SCCM, and other platforms for domain structure and domain administration including group policies, organizational units, account creation, setting rights, etc. Backup critical systems and software databases when necessary. Review and report on technology resources including server usage, network bandwidth, traffic patterns, system audit logs, and user access on various platforms. Contact customer support and vendors on hardware equipment and software programs. Attend local, regional, and state technology conferences, workshops, and trainings. Assist schools and departments with short- and long-term technology planning. Provide instruction and training to district and school personnel on various applications. Assist with district and school inventory. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
12-Months / 240 days per year
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the support personnel evaluation system and Board policy.
SALARY RANGE
Appropriate placement on current salary schedule.
