Job Description
Service Technicians (Level 1 & 2) perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power systems, UPS equipment, battery systems, and DC power solutions at customer facilities. They work under supervision to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction while developing their technical skills and experience. Perform routine preventive maintenance on power systems, UPS equipment, battery systems, and related components according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures. Assist in diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions under supervision of lead technicians or service engineers. Replace defective components and perform system testing. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed. Complete service reports and update customer equipment records. Support installation projects and equipment commissioning activities. Assist with battery replacements and system upgrades. Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Provide basic technical support to customers and explain maintenance procedures. Participate in training programs to develop technical skills. Support on-call rotation for emergency service calls as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred. 1+ years of experience in electrical/electronic equipment maintenance, telecommunications or related field. Basic understanding of electrical systems, electronics, and power equipment. Ability to use common electrical tools and test equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks for customer facility access. Good communication skills and customer service orientation. Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks in various environments. Ability to lift upwards of 75 pounds independently. Work in industrial environments including data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities. Climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity for electrical connections and component replacement. Travel is required, which can include out-of-state travel up to two weeks at a time. We will make every effort, depending on the nature of the project, to get you home to your family on the weekends. Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a drug screen, background check, DOT medical exam, and blood draw, is required.
