Note:
The client is open to considering candidates who can travel to the client location once a month for one week . All travel-related expenses will be covered by the client . However, pharma domain experience is mandatory for this role.
Job Summary:
A legacy SAS Administrator on Linux (typically SAS 9.4) is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring SAS application server tiers (Metadata, Compute, Mid-tier) on Linux environments. Key duties include managing user security via Metadata/SMC, applying hot fixes, tuning performance, optimizing disk space, and supporting client tools like SAS Enterprise Guide.
Required Technical Skills OS:
Proficient in Linux (Red Hat/RHEL preferred), including shell scripting.
SAS:
Strong knowledge of SAS 9.4 Intelligence Platform (Metadata server, Workspace server, Stored Process server).
Tools:
SAS Management Console (SMC), SAS Enterprise Guide, LSF (SAS Grid Manager).
Storage/DB:
Understanding of storage technologies (NAS/SAN/GPFS) and
SAS/ACCESS
engines (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata). Common Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 3-5+ years of experience in SAS Platform Administration. SAS Certified Professional - Platform Administrator.
