ESXi VPN Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Network Management:
Support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, and throughput. Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
Infrastructure Administration:
Manage physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V)
Cloud & Virtualization:
Support cloud-based environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Ensure proper integration between on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Security & Compliance:
Apply patches, updates, and security fixes in a timely manner. Conduct system audits and vulnerability assessments. Maintain compliance with IT policies and industry regulations.
Support & Collaboration:
Work closely with helpdesk and application teams to resolve escalated issues. Provide technical support and training to internal users as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma . 3+ years of experience in network/infrastructure administration. Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, SSL, and VLAN technologies a must. Also experience working on virtual infrastructure, VMWARE, vSphere Client and setting up ESX in the virtual environment. Certifications a plus not mandatory. Cisco Certified Network Associate (C.C.N.A) Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (M.C.S.E)
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Work Environment:
May require occasional evening or weekend work for upgrades or emergency fixes. On-call availability depending on the organization's needs.
