40.00 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and automation technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise Linux environments across private and public cloud platforms while ensuring system reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence. This role requires hands-on experience administering multiple Linux distributions, maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure, implementing security best practices, and supporting mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Apply Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, CentOS, Suse, and Debian concepts and industry best practices to resolve complex issues. Provide daily operational management of private and public cloud Linux server instances. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, technical guides, and system configurations. Evaluate technologies and perform cost/benefit analysis for infrastructure solutions. Collaborate with System Administrators, Developers, Application Engineers, Cyber Security teams, Systems Engineers, and Operations specialists. Develop and manage computing and infrastructure systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments. Perform advanced troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, reporting, tuning, and capacity planning. Manage availability of network, storage, computing, and software systems. Implement and maintain computer security policies and operational security directives. Coordinate and execute approved infrastructure changes during maintenance windows in a 24x7 on-call environment. Perform patch planning, vulnerability assessments, policy preparation, patch testing, and workflow design for quarterly security patching across Linux systems. Research and resolve operating system issues while adhering to organizational standards and best practices. Kubernetes & Cloud Responsibilities Design, monitor, tune, and maintain Kubernetes clusters running on AWS, Azure, and GCP. Support containerized infrastructure and cloud-native operational environments. Provide infrastructure automation and operational improvements for Kubernetes platforms. Utilize project management and coordination skills for infrastructure initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of experience with: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) CentOS Ubuntu Suse Debian Linux Minimum 4+ years of experience developing: Ansible Playbooks Shell Scripts Python Scripts Strong experience implementing automation for operational and administrative tasks. Experience with Kubernetes infrastructure administration and performance tuning.Experience with public cloud platforms:
AWS Azure GCP Experience with VMware technologies: VMware vCenter ESXi Experience with security and threat mitigation tools: McAfee Cisco AMP Nessus Tenable Tanium Dell Secureworks Red Cloak Education Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
