Job Description

We are looking for a Network Administrator to support and improve a busy legal office's technology environment in Escondido, California. This long-term position will focus on strengthening shared file storage, improving network reliability, and reducing day-to-day disruptions that affect document access and staff productivity. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, organization, and performance tuning across file systems, office connectivity, and end-user devices.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize the organization's Synology-based storage environment to improve stability, usability, and overall performance.
  • Redesign file and folder structures so legal documents, billing records, and archived materials are easier to locate and maintain.
  • Investigate and resolve issues involving slow synchronization, delayed updates, permissions conflicts, and inconsistent file access.
  • Provide technical support for office desktops and laptops, with an emphasis on network connectivity and reliable access to shared resources.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN infrastructure, Cisco networking components, and firewall-related issues affecting office operations.
  • Administer user access and directory-based permissions to help maintain secure and appropriate availability of active and inactive case files.
  • Recommend and implement practical improvements that strengthen document version control and support more accurate real-time collaboration.
  • Work closely with internal staff to identify recurring technical pain points and deliver efficient, sustainable solutions rather than short-term fixes.
