Responsibilities:

Stewardship of systems and network infrastructure, ensuring network systems are operating in an optimal manner Expanding observability to improve decision making and reduce time to resolution Backups of systems and regular testing of backups Patching and hardening systems to meet compliance requirements Working in tandem with our Service Desk and Site Reliability Engineering teams to provide performant, reliable, and secure services Continual improvement of systems performance, reliability, and compliance Maintenance and improvement of system documentation Incident response handling and root cause analysis. requirements Familiarity with one or more of the following scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell Extensive experience configuring and maintaining network switches, routers, and firewalls Strong understanding of networking concepts and their corresponding applications e.g. 802.1x, vLANs, Dynamic Routing Algorithms, DNS, DHCP, etc. Linux Server Operating Systems Containers and container orchestration, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc. Expertise with Windows Server Operating Systems Ability to troubleshoot problems through all layers of the OSI reference model Self-starter with interest in expanding existing knowledge of technical systems Desire to eliminate manual and repetitive tasks through automation
