Team:
The Information Technology team at Relativity Space is responsible for all computing infrastructure (end-user, server, virtualization, and cloud), software and software services, videoconferencing, telecommunications services and equipment, networking, and information security. We work with and support the needs of all internal teams, providing critical infrastructure and services for all operations of the company. About theRole:
As an Application Administrator I, you'll support and evolve key business platforms—primarily Jira and Confluence, with growing involvement in SharePoint and potentially other tools like Smartsheet. You'll partner with users to ensure these platforms drive efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across teams.Responsibilities include:
Project and Site Configuration:
Gather requirements and implement new Jira/Confluence projects and SharePoint sites, including workflows, automations, fields, and templates tailored to business needsUser Access and Governance:
Manage access and permissions with a focus on least-privilege principles and business alignment, supporting secure and effective platform usage across diverse user groupsEnd-User Enablement:
Deliver training and support on platform features, dashboards, workflows, and queries, helping users leverage tools independently and effectivelyPlatform Maintenance and Integration:
Maintain platforms through configuration management, updates, plugin management, security checks, and integration with tools like chat platforms or incident response systemsIssue Response and Troubleshooting:
Triage and resolve platform issues, especially related to integrations and plugins, to minimize disruption and maintain reliable operationsDocumentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Develop clear, user-friendly documentation and internal knowledge base content to support self-service and reduce recurring questionsAbout You:
Hands-On Atlassian Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, including project setup, workflow design, custom fields, and user supportSharePoint Administration Know-How:
Experience configuring and maintaining SharePoint sites, managing content and permissions, and supporting users in day-to-day operationsAnalytical Thinking and Troubleshooting:
A methodical approach to diagnosing problems, resolving incidents, and improving platform reliability—especially in integrated environmentsClear Communicator and Collaborator:
Comfortable training users, gathering requirements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support evolving platform needsSecurity-Minded and Detail-Oriented:
Familiar with access governance and platform hygiene practices that align with security and compliance expectationsIntegration-Focused Perspective:
Understanding of how to connect Atlassian, SharePoint, and other systems to create smooth workflows and minimize silos Nice to haves but not required:Relevant Certifications:
Credentials like Atlassian Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified SharePoint Administrator that reflect advanced platform expertiseAgile Familiarity:
Understanding of Agile methodologies and how they map to tools like Jira to better support iterative team workflowsScripting and Automation:
Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Java) to support automation, integrations, and operational efficiencyUser Experience Awareness:
A thoughtful approach to usability and design when configuring projects, spaces, or workflowsIndustry Context:
