This role serves as a technical expert in orchestrating complex batch job schedules that integrate with the financial core and peripheral systems to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Orchestration:
Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise automation platforms (e.g., SMA OpCon, JHA Episys) across production and development environments.Batch Schedule Development:
Design, build, and maintain complex batch automation schedules, including job dependencies, calendars, and exception handling for core processing.System Health & Monitoring:
Configure and maintain automation servers; monitor system performance, agent connectivity, and job success rates to ensure high availability.Systems Support:
Serves on the Core Systems Support Team, delivering technical support to keep host systems operational and updated with current software releases. Accurately documents work activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the shared ticketing systemIncident Management:
Act as tier two support for the Core Systems team, troubleshooting failed jobs and platform outages to meet operational SLAs.Process Optimization:
Analyze manual workflows within the financial core and business units to develop automated, script-based solutions.Security & Governance:
Manage user access and security groups within the automation platforms using Active Directory integration. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required. 4+ years of experience managing enterprise-grade batch scheduling or workload automation software is required (SMA OpCon experience highly preferred). 4+ years of experience automating processes within a financial services core (e.g., JHA Episys), specifically involving "lights-out" processing and file transfers is required. Applied experience using common RPA tools (e.g., Power Automate) for client-side automation. Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) to automate legacy application flows and system tasks. Experience working with Windows Server environments and Active Directory. Solid understanding of server-side processes and resource monitoring. Experience administering enterprise data replication/backups processes is desired. Must be able to manage security access and user groups to database servers using active directory. Strong understanding of SQL security practices in a high security environment.
