Full Job Description Description:
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Contribute to the proper design of Mikron Corporation Denver (MDE) control systems. Program the control system and test using Mikron processes and rules. Participant in onsite installs and debug phases as required to meet the expected functionality of the customer's system within budget and schedule constraints. This includes necessary preparation work to ensure success at the customer site. Support Mikron Corporation Denver goals, values, and operating principles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Advanced Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming Excellent knowledge of electrical hardware used for Industrial Machinery Excellent knowledge of electrical schematics and redline process Design, setup and troubleshoot Local and Remote IO Demonstrate Advanced Safety knowledge of Industrial Machinery, ability to design safety circuit from scratch. Demonstrate Advanced servo motion and VFD experience (startup, debug, tuning). Ability to integrate 3rd party equipment such as laser system, leak tester, camera Ability to troubleshoot various electrical and controls problems indpendently Attend Project Design reviews as scheduled by the CUS KAM or PM Familiar with Industrial Networking Familiar with electrical standards (NFPA 79, UL 508A, NEC, UL) Knowledge of C# or other OOP Language a plus Proficient in Microsoft suite: Excel, Power Point, Word High Attention to detail Support electrical and software design of machines upgrades/continuous improvement Support creation of electrical BOM and IO list Provide troubleshooting support to mechanical and electrical technicians Machine debug (PLC/HMI) from start to final installation at customer site Integrate 3rd party equipment Perform verification of installed IO Responsible for accurately and timely generation of the Controls Engineering documentation package assigned to each customer project Support electrical design team for project designs or changes Support Validation team to test validation package per customer's specifications. Ability to Multi-task. Be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time, and be able to self manage time constraints Support Customer Service personnel- Applications, Engineering, Sales, Customer support, and Parts Demonstrate knowledge of the ERP system, Electrical BOM creation, electrical parts selection, and tracking delivery dates Other duties as assigned by the CUS Technical Supervisor or CUS Manager
COMPANY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide advanced troubleshooting support to mechanical and electrical technicians on the floor Complete the Software Design Specification (IO list) with input from Mechanical Engineering Perform verification of installed IO Responsible for accurately and timely generation of the Controls Engineering documentation package assigned to each customer project Support electrical design team for project designs or changes Support Validation team to test validation package per customer's specifications. Demonstrate knowledge of Mikron standard materials and practices. Ability to travel for supporting installation at customer site and for Customer Service Support CUS Controls Engineer Level I Ability to delegate tasks as required/instructed Keeps a Customer focus when performing work and communicating both with internal and external customers Is always striving to better themselves by taking personal responsibility to learn and grow while helping the department adapt and grow while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Employment Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have a valid state Driver license Willing and able to travel 70% of the year with overtime of 25%, including travel with little to no notice Must be available to work overtime
Professional & Technical Education:
High School Diploma Bachelor of Engineering degree and 5 years of relevant working experience
Other Job-Related Experience or Requirements:
Ability to work hands on, as a team player as well as independently as needed. May be required to work off shift hours and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of industry accepted engineering practices
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
PLC and coding experience
