Job Description

Join International Mission Board as the Data Systems Specialist—the steward who keeps our Ministry Advancement CRM (Virtuous) humming, our giving data rock‑solid, and every department—from finance to missions—armed with trustworthy insights.

Richmond, VA Compensation:
Commensurate experience The Data Systems Specialist oversees the administration, governance, and optimization of the Ministry Advancement CRM (Virtuous) and its related data ecosystem. The specialist serves as the primary steward of CRM configuration, user support, and integration oversight, safeguarding the reliability of giving data used across the IMB.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary administrator of the Ministry Advancement CRM (Virtuous), overseeing system configuration, user permissions, workflows, automation, data structures, and reporting functionality. Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all constituent records. Maintain documentation of CRM processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure operational continuity. Oversee all data integrations between Virtuous and connected systems, including online giving platforms, payment processors, financial systems, marketing tools, and reporting environments. Evaluate new integration opportunities and ensure system expansions align with Ministry Advancement's strategic and compliance standards. Protect data integrity across platforms by implementing validation controls and reconciliation procedures. Develop and maintain CRM-based reports and dashboards that monitor database health, data accuracy, user compliance, and workflow integrity. Regularly review and audit data quality metrics, including duplicate records, incomplete fields, integration discrepancies, and automation performance. Provide leadership with clear visibility into system stability and data governance standards and recommend corrective actions to strengthen overall database reliability.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferred Minimum of three years of relevant experience Proven experience with analyzing complex data and operational challenges to design thoughtful, scalable solutions in, or related experience Previous experience in fundraising CRM system; Virtuous preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills Articulate and confident presenter Ability to plan and execute projects with strategic foresight and attention to detail.
