The Senior Systems Administrator is a highly skilled, hands-on IT professional responsible for supporting and optimizing a broad range of technologies across the organization. This role functions as a technical generalist, working across infrastructure, systems, endpoints, networking, and security. The position plays a critical role in maintaining reliable day-to-day IT operations, driving continuous improvement, strengthening the security posture, and modernizing systems. This individual serves as a key technical resource, troubleshooting complex issues end-to-end and implementing practical, scalable solutions that enhance performance, stability, and user experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations and Continuous Improvement Serves as an escalation point for complex technical issues while remaining hands-on in problem resolution Troubleshoots issues across multiple layers, including user, device, server, and network Takes ownership of issues from identification through resolution Automates repetitive tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) Improves system reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency Maintains clear and accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and processes Identifies and implements practical improvements across the IT environment Acts as a go-to technical resource across infrastructure, endpoints, and core systems Infrastructure and Systems Management Administers and maintains Windows Server environments (physical and virtual) Manages virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware ESXi or equivalent) Oversees storage systems, including SAN/NAS, and backup/recovery solutions Maintains and supports network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs Monitors system performance and proactively identifies and mitigates risks Endpoint and User Environment Manages full endpoint lifecycle, including deployment, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning Administers endpoint management tools (RMM/MDM platforms) Supports Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity/access management Ensures secure, standardized configurations across all user devices Security and Compliance Executes vulnerability management and patching strategies Supports security tools, including SIEM, endpoint protection, and email security platforms Participates in audits and supports compliance with regulatory requirements Assists with incident response, investigation, and remediation efforts Reinforces and promotes cybersecurity best practices across the organizationICARE Values Innovation:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience required Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering Proven experience in a hands-on, generalist IT role supporting multiple technology domains Windows Server and desktop operating systems Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management Virtualization platforms (VMware preferred) Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) Experience with endpoint management and patching tools Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including vulnerability management and SIEM tools Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and user environments Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services) Endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune, ManageEngine) Monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG) Security platforms (e.g., Arctic Wolf, KnowBe4, Cybereason) Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell or similar) Experience with Microsoft 365 and/or cloud environmentsHOURS:
