You will help build structure, improve discipline, and support a manufacturing organization that values practical quality, continuous improvement, and operational accountability. Summary We are seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to help maintain, improve, and sustain our Quality Management System in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in document control, audit readiness, calibration management, procedure development, record review, and overall quality system support. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of owning system-level quality activities while also supporting broader compliance and continuous improvement efforts. The Quality Systems Engineer will work cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, Scheduling, and other departments to help ensure our processes remain controlled, effective, and audit-ready. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support the company's Quality Management System in alignment with
ISO 9001
requirements Own and manage document control activities, including revision control, issuance, obsolescence, and controlled distribution of quality documents Coordinate and maintain the calibration program , including tracking due dates, records, certificates, and follow-up actions Review and support SOT paperwork and other quality-related records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance Draft, revise, format, and help implement SOPs, work instructions, forms, and related controlled documents Support internal and external audit preparation , including evidence gathering, document organization, corrective action follow-up, and closure tracking Assist with CAPA, NCR, customer complaint, and quality record follow-up to ensure actions are documented and completed Help maintain quality logs, dashboards, and performance metrics to support visibility into system health and recurring issues Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality system effectiveness and reinforce process discipline Support training documentation and quality-related record retention activities Help identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks within the quality system and recommend practical improvements Assist with root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred Equivalent quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered 2+ years of experience in quality, compliance, document control, or quality systems support preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment required Familiarity with
ISO 9001
required; experience supporting audits strongly preferred Experience with document control , calibration systems, SOP management, and quality records preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on recurring responsibilities Strong written communication skills, especially for procedures, forms, and controlled documentation Comfortable working cross-functionally and holding others accountable to process requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP, SharePoint, or quality management systems is a plus Preferred Qualifications Experience in printing, packaging, labels, or other regulated/quality-driven manufacturing environments Experience supporting CAPA, NCR, complaint handling, or audit response activities Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean practices ASQ certification or related quality certification is a plus What Success Looks Like in This Role Controlled documents are current, accurate, and well maintained Calibration records are organized, up to date, and proactively managed SOPs and quality documents are created and revised in a timely, controlled manner Audit preparation is more organized and less reactive Quality records and follow-up actions are tracked consistently The Quality Management System becomes more stable, disciplined, and sustainable

$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
