Job Description

The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced Junior Network Administrator to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program.
Junior Network Administrator Work Location:
Washington DC
  • Hybrid (work remote and light travel to customer site)
  • Position is contingent on contract award
  • The Junior Network Administrator is responsible for keeping the network running efficiently and ensures that all computers and other devices are connected to the network systems (ie: routers, hubs and switches). The Junior Network Administrator will be responsible for:
  • Junior Network Administrator is a member of the team responsible for creating networks and keeping them running efficiently.
  • The Junior Network Administrator ensures that all computers and other devices connected to networks
  • like routers, hubs and switches
  • are operating correctly.
  • Junior Network Administrator responds when the system breaks down or operates slowly to identify and when able correct the problem.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software to meet operational requirements.
  • Document any occurring network anomalies that has caused network issues.
  • Troubleshoot network anomalies and connectivity issues under the direction of the lead Network Administrator to restore service and minimize disruptions.
  • Assist with network administration activities, user support, and system performance monitoring to help maintain a secure and stable network environment.
  • Experience in training and/or teaching software applications a plus.
  • Excellent communication, customer service.
Certifications/Requirements:
o A minimum of (4) years of network experience. o CompTIA Network+ certification. o 4 years of experience or 1 year of experience can be substituted with a Network + certification.

Up to 15% CONUS
