Job Description

The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced System Administrator to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program.
System Administrator Work Location:
Washington DC
  • Hybrid (work remote and light travel to customer site)
  • Position is contingent on contract award
  • The System Administrator serves as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program. This IT position is responsible for managing Information Technology infrastructure systems operating in a Microsoft Windows environment. The System Administrator will be responsible for:
  • Install hardware, software, and coordinate the system updates to support operational requirements.
  • Perform all duties assigned to Level I Technicians, including user workstation support for desktops, laptops, 10Zig zero clients, and mobile thin clients.
  • Manage user and system accounts across Microsoft Windows infrastructure environments.
  • Troubleshoot workstations and servers operating in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Configure Windows operating systems and maintain system settings in accordance with approved standards.
  • Perform patch management activities to ensure systems remain current and secure.
  • Assess and remediate vulnerabilities by identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot workstation peripherals while providing technical support at remote locations as required.
Certifications/Requirements:
A minimum of (5) years of IT Support Services experience. o CompTIA A + certification can be used to substitute for 1 year of experience. o CompTIA Network+ o Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) o Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) o Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
